About Safe Place

Safe Place is an application designed to securely store your passwords, credit card numbers, software registration numbers, and all of the other information you want to keep handy and safe from prying eyes.

You group your data into categories, such as "Credit Cards," "Web Sites," etc. You can create as many categories as you need for storing your data. Each category can have up to 40 custom fields, which can be organized into groups.

Safe Place stores your data in an encrypted format, and uses your password as the encryption key. Your data can be viewed only by using this your password to decrypt the data. Safe Place uses the 128-bit TEA encryption algorithm, developed at Cambridge University in 1994. This very secure encryption technology uses a 128-bit key. There have been no known successful cryptanalyses of TEA.

Safe Place has been created using 4th Dimension, and very fast and powerful relational database engine. It can safely and quickly handle hundreds of thousands of password records.
