Q: Where's the Safe Place data stored?
A: The Safe Place installer creates s sample data file named "Safe Place.data" in the root level Library folder (/Library/Application Support/Safe Place/Safe Place.data). The Safe Place installer will never replace this file if one already exists.
Q: Can the data file be moved?
A: Yes, you can move the file to any folder to which you have both read and write access. The next time the Safe Place application is launched, a file selection dialog will appear. Locate and open the Safe Place.data file to use it.
Q: Should I back up my Safe Place data?
A: Yes! Back up the file named "Safe Place.data" located in your Library/Application Support/Safe Place/ folder. The data in this file is encrypted, so it's safe to backup over a network. We recommend using Apple's Backup application (part of the .Mac service) to back up your Safe Place data on a regular basis.
